Drugs is the best way, mainly to get money. i usually get about 200k every 20 minutes doing meth

Making drugs in the suburbs is nice cause then you can easily drill for oil as well. Meth, oil, and printers are always reliable and you can try for a robbery on the gas station to boot :P
Also, do some quests to be made a Pacifist for a little boost in salary :)
